Foundation Routine: Acne Skin/Scarring + Highlight/Contour





The great thing about using herbs is that you will assure yourself that your acne treatment is completely organic. This way you don't have to worry about introducing potentially toxic chemicals to your body. If your acne is severe and before beginning any treatment on your own, the best thing to do is speak with your doctor to see if there is something he or she recommends either over the counter or prescription. 

Women are often guilty of trying to take care of everyone, except themselves. The reality is that your heart may be big but your time frame is not. Sometimes you just can't chaperon that field trip or make those cookies for the bake sale. As the primary caregivers in many cases women often feel as if they are letting their kids, or spouse, down if they don't jump right in and make it all better. 

You have to be careful though that these products aren't overly processed. They work best in their natural, raw state and if they are processed they will lose a lot of their effectiveness. When you are on the hunt for skin care products there are a few things you need to keep in mind. For one thing what type of skin do you have? 

Making sure you provide your body with ample nutrition can go a long way to stopping outbreaks before they start. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Avoid eating too many greasy foods. Concentrate of leafy green vegetables and fresh fruits. You will also need to get enough exercise. This can help your skin because as you workout you will sweat and when you sweat you are getting a lot of the built up toxins out of your system. 

You might think that if a little bit of exercise is good, a lot of exercise must be better. This isn't always true. You can over exercise. And if you need to lose some weight, throwing yourself into extreme exercise right away isn't going to do you any good. You could end up with an injury that can prevent you from exercising for a long time. 

If you are going to be outside make sure to wear a hat and use sunscreen. Not only will overexposure to the sun dry your skin and force your sebaceous glands to secrete more oil making your acne worse, you will also prematurely age your skin if you get too much sun. And never forget, healthy skin starts on the inside, not the outside.
